TL;DR. For 6-12 people, the most efficient: 1 hour of shared skis in Playa d'en Bossa in the morning (€45-90/person) + lunch at a beach shack + a beach club in the afternoon. Book 2-3 weeks ahead in July-August. Estimated total per person, full day: €120-180.
Why jet skis at a stag do?
Tres razones reales:
- Works for the whole group. It does not matter if someone cannot swim well or has never ridden: no-license skis are simple and the instructor comes along. Nobody is left out of the plan.
- It is genuinely photogenic. The photos work on Instagram with no editing: turquoise water, spray, real smiles. Much better material than the typical drinks-at-a-bar.
- Compatible with the rest of the night. An hour in the morning and the whole afternoon-evening is free for beach, food, beach club and party. It does not clash with the usual, it complements it.
The three formats that work
1. Shared marked area (the most common)
Everyone takes a ski (or two-up) and you go round a marked area for 30-60 min. No license, no paperwork. It is what the beach shacks in Playa d'en Bossa, Las Salinas, Cala Bassa and San Antonio offer. Price: €60-110 for 30 min, €110-180 per hour. Sharing skis 2-up works out cheaper.
2. Guided route to Formentera (the premium option)
Departure from Marina Botafoch or Playa d'en Bossa, a 2-3 hour route to Es Caló (Formentera), a stop for a swim/lunch, and back. Requires a PER (if nobody has one, the operator provides a guide skipper). Price: €250-400/ski + tip for the guide. For small groups (4-6 people with 2-3 skis) it is spectacular.
3. "Ibiza Stag" combo with a beach club
Several operators have deals with beach clubs (Bora Bora, Nikki Beach, Blue Marlin). You book the package: 1h of skis + a table with drinks/food at a beach club. Ballpark price: €130-200/person depending on the beach club. It is the premium format but everything is sorted.
Real prices for groups (2026)
What it really costs, with the group discount operators apply already included (from 4 skis):
- 4 skis (8 people), 30 min: €280-380 total (€35-48/person)
- 6 skis (12 people), 1 hour: €720-1,080 total (€60-90/person)
- Route to Formentera 3h, 4 skis: €1,200-1,600 (€150-200/person)
In low season (May, June before the 15th, September) prices drop by 20-30%.
When to book
- July-August: at least 3 weeks ahead. Big stag/hen dos (10+) get booked as early as May.
- June and September: 1-2 weeks is usually enough.
- May and October: 3-4 days. More options, better prices, but the water is chilly at the start/end.
Typical mistakes to avoid
- Booking on the same day as the night out. If you are going out until 6am, do not book skis for 11am. You will end up tired, queasy and nobody will enjoy it. Better on arrival day or checkout day.
- Booking too much time. 30-60 min is the sweet spot. By 90 min your wrists and back tire. Better 1h of skis + a relaxed lunch afterwards.
- Not mentioning the bride/groom-to-be or people with physical problems. Pregnancy, hernias, neck issues: tell the operator before booking. Some do not allow you on.
- Alcohol beforehand. If you turn up "merry", they will not let you out. Strict at every reputable company.
The 3 best areas of Ibiza for groups
Playa d'en Bossa
The most logistically convenient: many operators, easy to reach by car, beach clubs right there (Bora Bora, Ushuaïa). What it loses in exclusivity it gains in ease for 10+ people.
San Antonio · Cala Bassa
Better for groups who want a skis + sunset combo. Cala Bassa Beach Club is a destination in itself. Pricier but more spectacular.
Marina Botafoch
For groups with a PER who want a route to Formentera or Es Vedrà. A natural starting point for long routes. More professional, less touristy.
